Easy and Durable Basil-Walnut Pesto Place one cup of walnuts, 1 minced garlic clove and 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt in your food processor and grind till nuts are grainy. Arrange on an oven-proof platter, sprinkle with grated cheese (Sonoma jack; gouda; gruyere -- your choice) and chopped walnuts and bake at 350 degrees until the cheese is melted and served.
